Texas Enterprise Fund
The largest “deal-closing” fund of its kind in the country. The fund is a cash grant used as a final incentive tool for projects that offer significant job creation and capital investment, and where a single Texas site is competing with viable out-of-state sites. Since 2004, the Texas Enterprise Fund has awarded over 140 grants totally nearly $600 million.
Texas Enterprise Zone Program
An economic development tool for local communities to partner with the State of Texas to promote job creation and significant private investment that will assist economically distressed areas of the state. Approved projects are eligible to receive sales and use tax refunds on qualified expenditures.
Skills Development Fund
An innovative program created to assist community colleges and technical schools finance customized job training for local businesses. Administered by the Texas Workforce Commission, grants may be as high as $500,000 per business.
Skills for Small Business
Supporting businesses with fewer than 100 employees, this program funds training for new workers and upgrading skills of existing employees with grants of up to $1,800 per employee. Administered by the Texas Workforce Commission.
Self Sufficiency Fund
This program offered by the Texas Workforce Commission provides educational training grants for needy adults or individuals at risk of becoming dependent on public assistance. Applicants may receive up to $500,000 for project.
Product Development & Small Business Incubator Fund
Revolving loan program financed through original bond issuances. The primary objective of the program is to aid in the development, production and commercialization of new or improved products and to foster and stimulate small business in Texas.
EB-5 Visa Program
This program offers a means by which foreign nationals can obtain a U.S. Green Card by making a qualifying investment in a business located in the United States. The EB-5 Visa path to a Green Card avoids the usual requirements of having family connections, securing a job, or running an actively trading business. Texas Growth Fund is a government-accredited firm assisting qualified program applicants.
